INCOME ANALYSIS OF ORGANIC MUSTARD VEGETABLE FARMING (Brassica rapa pekinensis) IN BELUNGKUT VILLAGE, MERBAU DISTRICT
Abstract
The agricultural sector in Indonesia plays an important role in the national economy. This is because Indonesia is an agricultural country, where most of the population works in the agricultural sector. One of the agricultural sub-sectors that is no less important in meeting the needs and increasing people's income is the horticultural crop sub-sector, horticultural products include vegetables, fruits, and ornamental plants. Mustard greens are one of the horticultural commodities that contain nutritional value that is beneficial for human growth and development.
The problem studied in this study is whether organic mustard greens farming in Belungkut Village is profitable or not? The purpose of this study was to determine the benefits of organic mustard greens farming in Belungkut Village. Organic mustard greens farming in Belungkut Village is already profitable.
To determine the income of organic mustard greens farming in Belungkut Village, the R/C ratio, B/C ratio and BEP analysis were used. Based on the results of the analysis of the income and costs of organic mustard greens farming in Table 5, it is known that the R/C Ratio> 1 = 3.50 and the B/C Ratio> 0 = 2.50. The results of the Break Even Point analysis show that the BEP production volume is 64.20 and the BEP production price is 3,424.44. From the results of the analysis of the R/C Ratio, B/C Ratio and Break Even Point, it can be concluded that organic mustard greens farming is profitable and feasible to be developed. The production factor with the largest cost expenditure is the manure production factor. Suggestions for Farmers in Belungkut Village to maintain production. Both to meet the needs of vegetables in the family of the farmer group members themselves and to meet consumer demand or market demand.
